Livescribe Desktop – MAC Version Announced

Livescribe announced recently that version 1 of their Livescribe Desktop for MAC will be officially released on Feb 17 2009.

Livescribe has announced some very interesting features in the MAC version including:

  • Export and share your notes as PDF files locally from Livescribe Desktop.
  • Export audio files (in AAC format) separately from notes so you can play them back in iTunes.
  • Change the on-screen ink color of your digital notes.

Hmm, I’m assuming it won’t be long before these types of features are available in the PC version?

The new version will be available from Feb 17 (assume Feb 18 for us down here) via think link

Excellent news! I’m looking at getting a Livescribe Pulse for my new university course and this is now a major selling point for me. Other ‘smart pens’ do exist but this is the first I’ve seen with such great support, especially for OSX!

The more I read about these pens, the more I want them. No more confusing notes, no more trying to match them with lectures/lecture recordings… No more saving textbooks cross-semesters, as I could just archive them digitally… =D It’s a dream.

    Hi Alex,
    Thanks for the comment

I’m sure you’ll be very happy. I think the integration into iTunes is very cool and very useful. It’s almost enough for me to leave the PC world and come over to MAC…

If you’re in Australia or NZ, feel free to contact me directly – mparker@smartpen.com.au and I’ll organise a discount for you as we’d love to have you as a customer

    Mark
